  • The dredging of sediment in lakes, harbors or rivers may be needed for proper navigation of vessels. Other times it may be done for marine construction or for improving the ecosystem of marshes and flood prone areas. During all events the presence of contaminated sediment may cause issues with disposal and placement of dredged material.
